Most Diablo 3 gamers probably have heard the news by now, that the Auction House is closing today. And keeping their word, it looks like Blizzard has closed the Auction House. Blizzard kept the Auction House running but has removed the ability to bid, buyout, or list new auctions. The only thing left to do is clear up any remaining auctions that are still running.
Don’t be too upset. Gamers who have items for sale will eventually be able to claim them from the Completed tab as well as any gold that they might have gained or been refunded from auctions. But that will only be valid until June 24th, so if you do not collect your completed items or get your gold soon, they will be gone for good, consumed by Treasure Goblins. So don’t forget or you lose your stuff.
Blizzard made the decision to close the Auction House last year. They believed that it undermined the game and so, that is that. It’s all about killing monsters and getting cool loot. This made it too easy to get loot without killing stuff.
