CyanogenMod Now Has One Million Users

Yesterday we heard that the CyanogenMod team were considering building their own app store, and now we have some more news from them, as they have just announced that they now have more than 1 million active users.

That means there are more than 1 million Android devices out there running CyanogenMod, and this is expected to increase as the team are working on CyanogenMod 9 which is based on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The CyanogenMod team have been responsible for bringing more up to date versions of Google’s Android OS to devices, quicker than the actual manufacturer of the devices.
