The Mimique is a response to feature-heavy cell phones that look more like PDAs than phones. Playful and engaging, the Mimique’s design marries the heritage of old-school cell phones with next-generation style and touch-screen technology.

The Mimique will use the new open-source cell phone software which will allow users to download features and “skins.” With downloadable upgrades, users won’t need to buy a new phone to get new features.

The phone features a touchscreen like that of the iPhone, and it is designed to be easily customised to suit the users needs, this is a great looking concept and I love the design.

What do you think?

  • Spuffler

Yeah, right. In a market with features coming out the blow hole, this minimalist phone hopes to gain market share. With all the phones that have changeable faceplates, how many aftermarket faceplates are there? This is not going to go anywhere.

  • Tyler Durden

The phone doesn’t use changeable faceplates. You should learn to read the entire article before talking.

  • S.P.

This is a cool concept. Spuffler, what is your job anyway? Guy with all the great ideas? No? Ok, and then try making something sometimes, beside your priceless insights and gems of wisdom.

Your right its an iPhone with a little antenna coming off the top of it, weather it can do all the crap an iPhone don’t matter, it might end up being a nice cheap alternative for people who just want a phone.

  • Rhine

This is a great idea i would buy one instead of these other phones on the market today i love the look

  • Oliver

Oh my god this is awesome!
