Some of the coolest designs are the simplest ones, and this induction based yo yo charger from designer Peter Thuvander is no different.
The iYo yo yo is an induction powered yoyo charger, which is designed to generate power and store it when the yo yo is used.
The iYo yo yo charger has a built in USB port, and after it has generated and stored enough power you can plug it into your iPhone and charge it.
The designer has obviously used the iPhone as a great example of how this technology could be used, but as the iYo yo yo has a standard USB port it could be used with any gadget than can be charged via USB.
The ideal is so simple yet brilliant, and there is technology available today, like that in wind up gadgets like radios that could be used to get this concept turned into reality, I am sure it won’t be long before a manufacturer picks up this design.
