CDMA Nokia Lumia 800 Headed To China In March

Nokia launched the Lumia 800 in Europe at the end of last year, the handset is due to go on sale in the US shortly, although this will be the GSM version and now it looks like a CDMA version is on the works.

According to a recent report China Telecom will be selling a CDMA Nokia Lumia 800 in March, which could mean that a CDMA version will be headed to the US in the future which would be available from both Verizon and Sprint.

Samsung has announced their first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, which is the successor to the original Galaxy Tab, and is expected to be cheaper than the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 comes with a 7 inch multi-touch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, there is also a dual core 1GHz processor and 1GB of RAM.

LG Optimus 3D 2 Photo And Details Revealed

We first heard about the LG Optimus 3D 2 back in January, when a render and some specifications of the device were revealed and now another photo along with some more information on the LG Optimus 3D have been revealed.

The photo below shows the new LG Optimus 3D, which is expected to be slimmer than the existing model, measuring just 9.8mm thick, and around 20g lighter.

Apple TV 3 Coming Next Month?

We have been hearing lots of rumors that Apple would be launching a new HDTV this year, and now it would appear that they also intend to launch a new version of their Apple TV set top box.

According to the guys from 9 to 5 Mac, references to a new Apple TV 3, which is codenamed J33 and Apple TV 3,1 have been discovered in iOS 5.1, and it may feature Apple’s new A6 processor.

After releasing a number of beta versions of its new Carbon Twitter Windows Phone client last year. Dot1ne has now announced the launch of its release version on to the Windows Phone Marketplace.

The Carbon Twitter app has been designed to reflect the Windows Metro styling and brings a number of features that Twitter users are sure to enjoy. Including URL shortening, image uploads, multiple accounts, Read It Later and Instapaper support, and threaded Direct Messages.

We know Apple is working on a new HDTV, which many have named as the iTV, although if this turns out to be the actual name of the device it could spell trouble for Apple.

The brand name for ITV is used by UK broadcaster ITV, and apparently ITV have now written to Apple asking them not to use the iTV brand name for their new HDTV.

Oregon Scientific has this week unveiled a new Android tablet its added to their range of products in the form of the MEEP!, which has been created specifically for children age 6 and up.

The new Oregon Scientific MEEP! tablet is equipped with a 7 inch colour touchscreen, together with WiFi connectivity. Once officially launched at the American International Toy fair, the MEEP! tablet will also feature a variety of accessories sold separately, including musical instruments.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich come with support for Bluetooth and USB peripherals, plus HDMI, so Christian Qantrell decided to see what it would be like using his Galaxy Nexus as a desktop computer.

The video below shows Christian’s Galaxy Nexus hooked up to an external monitor, and connected to an Apple keyboard and Trackpad, and he wanted to replicate desktop functions on the device without any hacking and just using normal equipment.

Google Suspends Prepaid Credit Card Functions On Google Wallet

Motorola and Apple have been battling it out in a German court over the last few weeks, the company tried to enforce an injunction against Apple last week, that would stop Apple selling some of its iPhone and iPad products in Germany, the device went back on sale the same day.

Motorola has a number of different lawsuits going against Apple, and a court in Germany has just thrown one of the major ones out of court saying that Apple’s doesn’t infringe on the patent.

Roku has announced that its range of media players are now available in the UK, with two different versions available the Roku 2 XS and the Roku LT, with prices starting at £49.99 for the Roku LT and £99.99 for the Roku 2 XS.

Both of the two streaming devices come with up to forty different channels of streaming content, and Roku has just signed a deal with the BBC to bring their BBC iPlayer to Roku devices here in the UK.

We recently heard that Microsoft was taking pre-orders of the new Nokia Lumia 900 in their Microsoft Stores in the US, customers were able to pre-order the device by paying a $25 deposit.

The Nokia Lumia 900 will be available from AT&T in March, and now Microsoft has stopped taking pre-orders of the device in their stores after just one week, and they haven’t explained why the have stopped taking orders.

If the iPad 3 does feature a 2048 x 1536 resolution display, that would mean that you would be able to video a full HD movie on the iPad’s 9.7 inch display and also other content at the same time, which certainly sounds impressive.

Microsoft has revealed more information on Windows 8 on ARM which it calls WOA, and the company has said that WOA devices should start shipping at the same time as PCs designed for x86/64 chipsets.

Microsoft also announced that Windows 8 on ARM will come with a range of built in applications, including Office 15, with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, OneNote and Excel.

HTC Announces Android 4.0 ICS Update Coming To Some Devices In March

HTC announced a while back that they would be releasing the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for some of their devices this year, and now HTC has confirmed on their Facebook page, that the Android 4.0 update will land in March on certain devices.

HTC has said that the update will roll out by the end of March, and the devices to get the update include the HTC Sensation, the HTC Sensation 4G, HTC Sensation XE, shortly followed by the HTC Sensation XL.

According to a recent report by the WSJ, this new Google home entertainment system is designed to stream music wirelessly around your house, and it is likely to be powered by Google’s Android OS.

Yesterday we heard that the PIN security on Google Wallet had been cracked on rooted Android devices, and now a new security flaw has been discovered in Google wallet, although this one affects all users of Google Wallet.

The new security flaw was discovered by the guys from The Smartphone Champ, and this one seems to be a lot more easier to access, as all that has to be done is reset the data in the Google Wallet application on your Android device.

It looks like the case between Samsung and Apple over Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 is has taken another turn in Samsung’s favor, the original Galaxy Tab 10.1 was banned for sale in Germany last year.

Samsung appealed the decision and released a newly modified version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Germany, called the Galaxy Tab 10.1N, although Apple once again tried to have this version banned for sale.

Apple To Announce iPad 3 First Week In March?

We heard earlier today that iOs 5.1 is expected to launch on the 9th of March, and as references to the iPad 3 have been found in iOS 5.1 beta 3 we would expected the iPad 3 to launch at a similar time.

Now according to All Things D, the iPad 3 will be announced by Apple at a special event in the first week in March, possibly Wednesday the 7th of March, with the device probably going on sale a week later.

We have already seen one manufacturer launch an Android powered point and shot camera, Polaroid with their new Polaroid SC1630, and now it would appear that Samsung is looking into producing a camera which runs Google’s mobile OS.

Samsung recently filed a trademark with the USPTO, for the ‘Samsung Galaxy Camera’, and the trademark is related to goods and services with cameras and camcorders.

Earlier today we saw some photos of an iPad casing which are reported to be for the new iPad 3, we have been hearing over the last few months that the iPad 3 will feature a higher resolution display, possibly with a 2048 x 1536 resolution and it will be powered by a new Apple A6 processor.

Everything we have heard about the new Apple A6 processor over the last few months is that it is expected to be a quad core processor, although now according to a recent report by The Verge, the A6 may not be a quad core processor after all.

The guys over at Vodafone just dropped us an email to let us know that the Nokia Lumia 710 is now available on their network here in the UK, and it is available for free on their £20.50 a month 24 month contracts and above.

As a reminder the Nokia Lumia 710 features Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, and has a 3.7 inch WVGA multi-touch touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, processing is provided by a single core 1.4GHz processor and it also comes with 512MB of RAM and 8GB of built in storage.
