Google Launches Chromebook Preview In Treasure Hunt Style

If you are looking to get your hands on a new Chromebook earlier than the official June 15th launch. You might be interested to learn that Google has started a Chromebook Preview that will allow you to do just that if you can follow the clues in a treasure hunt style game.

The first clue was posted today by Product Marketing Manager Azhar Hashem on the official Google Chrome Blog, and took  you to a memo written by Tim Berners-Lee about the beginning of the World Wide Web.

Samsung Chromebook Gets Taken Apart

The Samsung Chromebook is one of the first new notebooks that will ship with Google’s Chrome OS, we know what software it is running and its hardware specifications , but the guys over at iFixit decided to take it apart.

The Samsung Chromebook features a 12.1 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, there is also a 16GB solid state drive (SSD) and a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N570 processor, have a look  at the teardown photos below.

Acer Announces Aspire Ethos Notebooks With Removable Touchpad

Acer has added two new notebooks to its ranger with the launch of the Acer Aspire Ethos 8915G and the Aspire Ethos 591G, and what makes them interesting is that they come with a removable touchpad.

The Acer Aspire Ethos 8915G features an 18.4 inch notebook, whilst the Aspire Ethos 591G is a 15.6 inch notebook, and both models are available with a range of Intel Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors.

Acer Announces New Aspire TimelineX Notebooks

Acer has added three new notebooks to its line up with the launch of the Acer Aspire TimelineX 3830T, the 4830T and the 5830T, the TimelineX 3830T features a 13.3 inch display, whilst the 4830T features a 14 inch display and the 5830T features a 15.6 inch display.

Sony Vaio Z21 Ultra Light Upgraded Notebooks Arrives Early In Europe

It seams the Italian online shop F2F have leaked Sony’s new Sony Vaio Z21 Ultra Light Notebook upgrades out before any official Sony announcemnt in Europe.

The new upgraded Z range now includes Sandy Bridge Core processors, solid state disks, together with fingerprint readers, and built-in 3G. The new notebooks also include upgraded HDMI ports that now provide 3D out capabilities and upgraded webcam which now include low-light Exmor sensor technology.

Asus UX21 Ultra Thin Laptop To Retail For Under $1,000

Some of our reader will remember the new Asus UX21 ultra thin laptop that was announced recently, it is part of Intel’s new ‘Ultrabook’ laptop class and is designed to be thin and light and Asus are obviously hoping it will be able to take on Apple’s MacBook Air.

It looks like the Asus UX21 will retail for under $1,000, and according to a recent report Asus are intending to price the UX21 at around 80 to 90 percent of the cost of Apple’s MacBook Air.

Kogan Chromium OS Laptop Announced

Kogan has launched the first Chromium OS powered laptop in Australia and the UK, the Kogan Agora, which is an ultra portable laptop powered by Google’s Chromium OS.

The Kogan Agora features an Intel Celeron 1.3GHz processor, there is also 1GB of DDR2 RAM, which can be expanded up to 4GB, plus a 30GB Solid State Drive (SSD).

Lenovo IdeaPad Ultrabook U300S Notebook Revealed

Yesterday we heard about Intel’s new specifications for ultra thin notebook’s which Intel calls the Ultrabook, and the first of these devices was announced by Asus, with the launch of the Asus UX21 notebook.

LG’s P220 Laptop Looks Like A MacBook Pro

Earlier today we saw LG’s new all in one PC, the LG V300 which obviously takes its design inspiration for Apple’s iMac range, and now another new LG device has appeared at this years Computex, the LG P220 Laptop.

Intel Announces New ‘Ultrabook’ Laptop Class

Yesterday we saw the new Asus UX21 ultra thin laptop, and now Intel has announced a new class of laptops called the ‘Ultrabook’, which are ultra thin laptops that will use Intel’s latest processors, and the new Asus UX21 is the first one that uses the new Intel specifications.

The first range of Ultrabook laptops will go on sale before Christmas this year, and they will all be less than 20mm thick and will use the latest Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, and all of them will retail for less than $1,000.
