Samsung launches the ultra light X360 Notebook

Samsung has launched a new notebook the X360, which is actually lighter than the MacBook Air, weighing in at 1.27kg.

The Samsung X380 features a 13.3 inch WXGA LED screen with a maximum resolution of 1280 x 800, and is powered by and Intel Centrino 2 ULV processor.

Memory comes in the form of DDR3, from 1GB to 4GB, and for storage there is a choice of either a 64GB/128GB SSD or a 120GB 5400rpm S-ATA.

There is also 3 USB ports, 1 HMDI port, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFI a/b/g/n, a 1.3 megapixel web camera and a 7-in1- card reader.

Asus Launching New Eee PC 904 and Eee PC 905

Asus will be launching new models in the hugely popular Asus Eee PC range, the Eee PC 904 and Eee PC 905.

The two new models are going to replace the Eee PC 900 (904) and the Eee PC 901 (905).

Both of the new models will feature a larger chassis and keyboard (that of the company’s 10.2 inch models).

Processing will come from Intel’s Atom processor, whilst the other specs are expected to remain the same as the current 900 and 901 models.

The pricing is also expect to be similar, although no details have been confirmed as yet.

Dell’s mini Inspiron Eee PC like sub notebook revealed

The guys over at Engadget have managed to get their hands on some shots of a new sub notebook from Dell, which is designed to rival the hugely popular Asus Eee PC.

The specs are a little limited at the moment, but it will feature an 8.9 inch display, an integrated webcam, WiFi, an 8 in 1 car reader.

This mini notebook will come with a choice of either Windows XP or Ubuntu Linux and is expected to retail for under $500.

A funky new notebook from sony – the VGC-LJ25L

Check out this funky new notebook from Sony, the VGC-LJ25L.

It features a 15.14 inch widescreen LCD display, a built in webcam, microphone and speakers.

Processing power comes from an Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 processor and it comes with 2GB of RAM and a 200GB HDD.

It also features a small keyboard, when folded up covers half the screen, and when folded down it is angled making it easier to use than standard notebook keyboards.

I have to admit I like the look of it, and it seems to be pretty compact.

The Sony VGC-LJ25L will go on sale in Korea initially for around $1,350, there is no word as yet when we might see it in the US and Europe.

The World’s cheapest Windows XP notebook – The HCL MiLeap

Microsoft and Indian technology firm HCL have teamed up to produce an ultra cheap Windows XP powered notebook PC.

This cheap XP notebook will come under HCL’s Leaptop brand and will be called the MiLeap.

The MiLeap will run Windows XP Home and features a 7 inch TFT LCD touch screen, which can also be rotated to convert the notebook into a tablet PC.

Processing will come from an Intel 945 GU Express chipset, it will also have 1GBB of DDR2 RAM, a 1.3 megapixel camera and a built in touch pad, WiFi and Ethernet.

The HCL MiLeap will retail in India for around $425, which makes it the cheapest Windows laptop available, there is no word if we will see the in the US or Europe anytime soon.
