Acer has announced that it will be launching a new version of it’s popular netbook, the Acer Aspire One.
This new Acer Aspire one will feature a 10 inch screen and is likely to go on sale in February of March 2009.

Two clever Intel engineers have managed to get an Asus Eee PC to boot up in 5 seconds flat.
The engineers demonstrated an Asus Eee PC that could boot to a Fedora Desktop in 5 seconds at a recent Linux conference.
They achieved the fast boot time by cutting out different boot elements that aren’t needed by netbooks or where the function is replicated elsewhere.

LG has entered the Netbook market with the LG X110 Netbook.
The LG X110 Netbook features built in 3G, and there is quite a bit of speculation that mobile providers could be giving away this new 3G netbook if you sign up to one of their mobile broadband plans.
MiTAC is the latest company to enter the Netbook Arena, with the MiTAC MiStation.
This new netbook features an 8.9 inch screen and is powered by a 1.6Ghz Intel Atom Processor.
For storage there will be a choice of either a standard 60GB hard drive or a 20GB SSD, and it will come with either a choice of Linux or Windows XP.

Intel has finally released details of their rumoured notebook PC, which will be called the Intel 2go PC.
This tiny laptop is manufacturerd by CTL and is aimed at the eductaion market and it will come with an Intel Celeron M CPU on top of the 915GMS chipset, 512MB of RAM a 9-inch LCD display with a resolution of 800 x 480 LCD display, a 40GB hard drive, 802.11b/g, SD / MMC reader.
It will come with Windows XP and will retails for about $400, the Intel 2go PC will go on sale around the end of May.
