Steampunk Nixie Clock

There have been quite a few new Nixie clocks over the last couple of weeks here on Geeky Gadgets, the latest one is the work of UK artist Kev Stenning, the Steampunk Nixie Clock.

The Steampunk Nixie Clock measures 213mm tall, by 167mm wide and 399m long, it is made from Pyrex toughened glass, solid copper and brass machined parts and it features six IN-18 Nixie Tubes.

POV Hard Drive Clock

We have seen quite a few of these homemade hard drives clocks before on Geeky Gadgets, but this one is definitely the coolest to date, the POV Hard Drive Clock.

The POV Hard Drive Clock was created by Polish modder mb1988, and it was made using an ATMEGA128 micro controller, some LEDs and a hard drive, check out the video of it in action below.

Single Tube Nixie Clock

After receiving an IN-8 tube from a friend, [Trax] wanted to find some way to show it off and decided create a piece art that doubles as a clock, it  uses a low voltage plug in wall transformer and makes the high voltage needed to run the clock.

Robot Hands created by Crafthouse

These mini mechanical hands from Japan’s Crafthouse allow you to give your friendly robot a full set of digits making it that little bit more human. Unfortunately though each finger is not independently controlled. Check out the video after the jump.

Game Boy Hard Drive Case Mod

What do you do with your old Nintendo Game Boy when it stops working? modder [_n30_] decided to turn his broken Game Boy into a portable hard drive.

Inside the case there is an 80GB 2.5 inch HDD, from the photos it looks like the Game Boy is still working, the reflective backing has been removed from the screen and replaced by a piece of paper with graphics on it.

We have seen quite a few different PC casemods here on geeky gadgets, this one is definitely one of the more unique mods we have seen, the Mini Cooker PC Casemod.

The Mini Cooker PC Casemod was created by Czech modder Zbyšek, and it is a replica of his full sized cooker and even features blue LED gas burners.

Antique Radio PC Mod

Here is another cool PC Mod, this one is made using an antique radio, a tombstone style Deco radio, from the front it just looks like an old radio and you wouldnt know there is a PC inside.

Inside there is a Mini-ITX motherboard, an Intel Atom 330 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive, plus a DVD-RW, check out the full specifications below.

Swapped Xbox 360 Controller

Here is another cool mod from Ben Heck, this one was made at the request of one of his customers, the Swapped Xbox 360 Controller.

As you can see from the photos, the d-pad and action buttons have been swapped, also the left and right triggers have been swapped and Ben has also fitted an extra set of X Y B A buttons on the back.

MacCores iTab Mini – Apple Tablet Mod

We are still awaiting official news from Apple on the much rumored Apple Tablet, in the meantime here is a cool Apple Tablet mod, the MacCores iTab Mini.

I have to admit from the photos, the MacCores iTab Mini looks very cool, it features a 12.1 SVGA resistive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1400 x 1050 and a 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 duo processor.

We absolutely love anything to do with Steampunk here on Geeky Gadgets, and when I spotted this cool handmade Steampunk USB drive I thought it looked very cool until I noticed the price.

Most of the stuff that appears on Etsy seems to be reasonably priced, unfortunately this isn’t one of those items, as you will have to part with $3,000 to get your hands on it.
