The guys over at CrackBerry have released some photos of the new BlackBerry Pearl 9100.

The new BlackBerry Pearl 9100 looks like a slimmer version of the BlackBerry 9700, it features a SureType QWERYU keyboard, plus a newly designed battery.

Thats about it for specifications so far, but the guys over at CrackBerry will be releasing some more details soon, head on over there to check out lots more photos of the new BlackBerry Pearl 9100.

The Motorola Crush features a 2.8 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels, it has a virtual QWERTY keyboard, and a tap to silence feature, it also comes with a 2 megapixel camera.

If you are the type of person who needs a more rugged mobile phone, the you may want to check out the new Casio G’zOne Rock from Verizon.

The Casio G’zOne Rock is a clamshell mobile phone, which is designed to take a beating, it comes with a range of features and G’zGear software with includes six different modes, Thermometer, Earth Compass, Walking Counter, Astro Calendar, Tides and Sunrise Sunset.

Other features include EV-DO REV A, GPS and stereo Bluetooth connectivity, a 2 megapixel camera with built in f;ash and video recording capabilities, and touch sensitive music controls.

The Nokia N900 has finally gone on sale in the US, from today you will be able to get your hands on the new Nokia N900 for $649 from Nokia stores in New York and Chicago as well as from the Nokia website.

The Nokia N900 is powered by Nokia’s Maemo 5 OS, and it has a 3.5 inch WVGA touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480, a sliding Qwerty keyboard, and it is powered by an ARM Cortex A8 processor.

“Consumers from every segment of the population are looking for more out of their mobile device – more power, more ability, more connectivity. The Nokia N900 ushers in a new era with a very powerful mobile computer,” said Alessandro Lamanna, Vice President, Retail Sales, Nokia. “With an open source operating system, incorporated technology like an OMAP processor, and real time web widgets, the Nokia N900 delivers the experience of a pocketable computer that has the information you’re looking for right there waiting for you thanks to the ability to be connected just about anywhere.”

Other features include 32GB of built in storage and features a 5 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens and a dual LED flash.

On top of that there is support for microSDHC cards up to 16GB and it features a built in FM transmitter, HSPA, WiFi and Bluetooth A2DP connectivity as well as GPS.

The much anticipated Nokia E72 has gone on sale in the UK today, and it is the sucessor to the popular Nokia E71.

The Nokia E72 features a 2.36 inch WVGA display with a resolution of 320 x 240, it comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, and it measures 114mm by 58.3mm by 10.2mm and weighs in at 128g.

On top of that, the Nokia E72 features a 5 megapixel camera, an optical navigation key, Ovi Maps with A-GPS, a Compass, IM, and Nokia’s push email service, Google Talk.

It comes with a 4GB microSD card and can take up to a 16GB of storage, it is available now in the UK for £359 from Nokia.

Palm has released a new update to its webOS, with webOS 1.3.1 for the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi.

WebOS 1.3.1 features a number bug fixes as well as a range of feature changes to existing applications, one of which is the backup function which now includes browser cookies, as well as changes to the calendar, contacts and camera.

There have also been changes to email, messaging, music, phone as well as a host of new system changes, you can read full details on all the updates in webOS 1.3.1 over at Palm.

Samsung has officially launched its new Google [GOOG] Android powered smartphone, the Samsung I5700 Galaxy Spica.

The Samsung I5700 Galaxy Spica is a quad band GSM / EDGE / HSDPA mobile phone, it comes with a 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 480.

It features a 3.2 megapixel camera, and 800MHz processor, and comes with Google Android 1.5 (Cupcake), with a range of built in Google services which include Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube and Google Talk.

The Samsung I5700 Galaxy Spica also features built in GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi and a 3.5mm headphone jack, there is also a 1500mAh battery.

The Samsung I5700 Galaxy Spica will be available in Europe shortly, there is no word on pricing as yet.

Nokia has added another mobile phone to its range with the launch of the Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition.

The Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition features a 2.4 inch QVGA screen with a resolution of 320 x 240, a 3.2 megapixel camera, 3G, and features built in DVB-H technology to take advantage of mobile TV.

Franklin Selgert, Chairman, Broadcast Mobile Convergence Forum said, “It is essential for DVB-H service providers to have a variety of devices capable of serving the mass market. Having a complete portfolio of handsets is pivotal for the commercial success of mobile TV. The new Nokia DVB-H enabled mobile phone, the Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition, is a great addition to the current portfolio of broadcast TV-capable handsets.”

The Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition will be available shortly in Europe for 155 Euros about $230.

Dell Mini 3 Android Smartphone Heading to China an Brazil

Dell has just announced that it will be launcing it’s first Google Android powered smartphone, in China and Brazil, the Dell Mini 3.

The Dell Mini 3 will be available in China and Brazil later this month, although Dell haven’t revealed any details on pricing or the exact launch date for both countries.

Our entry into the smart phone category is a logical extension of Dell’s consumer product evolution over the past two years,” said Ron Garriques, President, Dell Global Consumer Group. “We are developing smaller and smarter mobile products that enable our customers to take their internet experience out of the home and do the things they want to do whenever and wherever they want.“

There is still no news on when we are likely to see the Dell Mini 3 launch in the US and Europe, although Dell have confirmed that they have partnerships with Vodafone in Europe and AT&T in the US for the Dell Mini 3 Smartphone.

The Palm Pixi, is Palm’s second handset to run their new webOS it is a candy bar style phone with a built in keyboard on the front, and it has similar features to the Palm Pre.

The Palm Pixi features a 2.63 inch display with a resolution of 320 x 400, other features of the Palm Pixie include a 2 megapixel camera, as opposed to the 3 megapixel camera in the Pre, it features an accelerometer and GPS.

The HTC HD2 is now available on Vodafone in the UK, and the good news is that Vodafone are offering the HTC HD2 free with a two year contract.

The two year contract will cost you £35 per month, and that gives you 900 minutes of call to other mobile phones, plus unlimited land line calls and unlimited Internet access.

The HTC HD2 features a 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800, and it is powered by Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon processor, it runs on Windows Mobile and feature HTC’s Sense UI.

Willcom has just released their new Hybrid W-zero phone which is powered by windows mobile 6.5.

It has a 3.5″ VGA touchscreen and is equipped with Wifi, Bluetooth and GPS navigation support. The WS027SH model features a worlds first with both PHS and 3.5G and is also compatible with HSUPA 7.2mbps.

It is also equipped with a 5 mega pixel camera nd has an innovative jog style GUI called the x-Crawl which allows you to scroll with the cursor sideways.

Unfortunately there’s on word on pricing or availability as yet but we will keep you posted. Rumors are saying it could be in stores as early as January 2010 .. fingers crossed.

Samsung Announces ‘Bada’ Mobile OS

Samsung has announced the launch of its own mobile OS designed to be used by its range of smartphones, and Samsung is hoping that its Linux based OS will be able to complete against Google’s Android OS.

The Samsung Bada platform will be completely open, and it will be similar to Nokia’s Maemo and the Linux Mobile Limo Project.

Samsung intends to launch their Bada OS in the first half of next year, and they will offer a sneak preview of the OS to developers in December.

Samsung may do well with the platform if they get it right, and mobile phone operators will be able to customize it to their network, and Samsung will probably also launch an application platform like the Apple iPhone or Google Android, where developers will be able to sell their applications.

It will be interesting to see what the Samsung Bada OS is like, and also what new smartphones Samsung will launch to complement it.

You can also upload your photos to Photoshop.com, and store and share them with your friends, plus the app lets you browse your Photoshop.com library where you can keep all your photos store.

One of the most anticipated smartphones to launch this year, the Motorola Droid has gone on sale in the US today, the Motorola Droid.

The Motorola Droid features a 3.7 inch, 16:9 touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 854, on top of that there is a 5 megapixel camera with 4x zoom, autofocus and a dual LED flash.

The Motorola Droid is now available from Verizon for $199.99 which includes a $100 mail in rebate, with a two year contract, there are also 12 month contract available, and the Motorola Droid will set you back $269.99 on that contract.

As well as announcing the new Droid Eris, Verizon also announced today a new BackBerry smartphone, the BlackBerry Curve 8530.

The BlackBerry Curve 8530 features a full QWERTY keyboard with a touch sensitive track pad, 256 MB of flash memory and a 528 MHz processor, it also has Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi and 3G.

Othere specification include GPS, a 2,0 megapixel camera with built in digital zoom for recording video and taking pictures, an advanced media player for music, pictures and video, with dedicated media keys and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Verizon BlackBerry Curve 8530 Smartphone will be available from the 20th of November for $99 with a 24 month contract after a $100 mail in rebate, it will come in a choice of two colors, black and smoky violet.

Verizon has officially announced its latest Google Android powered mobile phone, the Verizon DROID Eris, which is due to launch this week the same time as the much anticipated Motorola DROID.

The Verizon Droid Eris is basically Verizon’s version of the HTC Hero, it has a couple of design differences, but the majority of the features are the same.

The Verizon DROID Eris features a 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel camera, built in WiFi, a microSD card slot which can take up to 16GB cards and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

On top of that, the Verizon DROID Eris also features Bluetooth, a full HTML browser with Flash Lite, a digital compass, voice dialling, GPS, plus supports for a range of Google services.

The Verizon DROID Eris will be available from Verizon, tomorrow November the 6th for $99 with a two year contract after a $100 mail in rebate.

Nokia and the Carphone Warehouse have teamed up and are launching a new range of mobile phones, the Nokia Illuvial Pink Collection.

The Nokia Illuvial Pink Collection features three Nokia Handsets, all of which feature a unique design with pink graphics on a white or black background, and they are designed to make a fashionable alternative to some of Nokia’s most popular handsets.

The first model in the range is the Nokia 5530 Xpress Music Illuvial, which features a bright white exterior with pink graphics and accents, and it allows you to select 20 friends as favourites and display all their recent communications from social media.

There is also a direct link to social media sites, including Facebook and Twitter, and there are also built in instant messaging features with services like Windows Live Messenger.

The Nokia 5530 Xpress Music Illuvial can store up to 12,000 of your favourite tracks and play them through the Nokia Stereo Headset or through the built in stereo speakers.

Next up is the Nokia 6700 Illuvial which features a black design with pink accents and graphics, it has a range of features including a built in web browser and a five megapixel camera.

Sony Ericsson has added a new handset to their Xperia range, with the launch of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is the first mobile phone from Sony Ericsson which is powered by Google Android, it comes with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and a 4 inch capacitive touchscreen display.

It also features an 8.1 megapixel camera with a built in LED flash, it will come with Google Android 1.6 and will have applications from the Android Market and from Sony Ericsson’s PlayNow Arena.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will go on sale next year, there is no word on pricing as yet.

Motorola Milestone ‘Droid’ Coming To Europe

Motorola has announced that it will be launching a European version of the Motorola Droid, which will be called the Motorola Milestone.

The Motorola Milestone will initially be available in Germany on mobile phone networks O2 and Vodafone, and it is a GSM version of the Motorola Droid.

The Motorola Milestone will feature a 3.7 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, a 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

It will run Google Android and will come with a range of applications which include Google Apps like Google Maps, Google Talk, Google Mail, and YouTube.

The Motorola Milestone will be available in Germany initially, then Italy, there is no word as yet when we will see it released in the UK, or which mobile phone providers will offer it.

The Sony Ericsson Aino features a 3 inch touch-screen display, with a resolution of 432 x 240, it also has an 8.1 megapixel camera with 6 x digital zoom, and built in image and video stabilization.

On top of that there is stereo Bluetooth A2DP, and a slide out keypad, built in WiFi and tri-band HSPA, it can also sync and stream music, videos and pictures from your PS3.

The Sony Ericsson Aino is available now SIM free from Sonystyle for $600, for that you get an 8GB microSD card, Bluetooth headphones and a charging dock.

HTC Hero Getting Google Android 2.0 Update

HTC has confirmed that they will be updating the HTC Hero to Google’s latest OS, Android 2.0, at the moment HTC are working on integrating their Sense UI into the update with Android 2.0.

“Yes, we are working on an Eclair update for the HTC Hero. Because Eclair is a significantly enhanced release, it will require some time to update Sense for this new version of the Android OS. Please be patient while we work to provide you with a tightly integrated experience like the one you are already enjoying on your Hero.”

There are no details as yet when Google Android 2.0 will be available for the HTC Hero, and how it will be rolled out via the different carriers.

There is also a possibility that other HTC devices may also get Android 2.0, although no other models have been announced as yet.

The Motorola Droid will be available on Verizon from the 6th of November, it is probably one of the most anticipated Google Android handsets to be released so far.

The Droid features a 3.7 inch LCD display, with a resolution of 854 x 480, it has a slide out QWERTY keyboard, a Cortex A8 processor, and comes with 16GB of memory, a 5 megapixel camera and Bluetooth.

Motorola Droid Coming To Verizon November 6th

Verizon has just confirmed that the new Motorola Droid will be available from November the 6th, it is going to cost $199 with a contract after various rebates.

They have also confirmed that ‘Droid’ will be a family of phones, so we can expect to see new models as well, although they have mentioned that the first model is also a ‘Cornerstone’ model.

The Motorola Droid features a Cortex A8 processor, and comes with 16GB of memory, a 5 megapixel camera, bluetooth, a slide out QWERTY keyboard and a 3.7 inch display.

Software will be Google Android 2.0 as mentioned previously, and an interesting feature will be turn by turn navigation, which is provided by Google, and comes completely free with the device.

“We’re proud to work with Verizon Wireless and Google™ on the first smartphone to feature Android 2.0,” said Sanjay Jha, co-chief executive officer of Motorola and chief executive officer of Motorola Mobile Devices. “DROID by Motorola delivers a rich consumer experience with warp-speed Web browsing, a mammoth screen, and Motorola’s expertise in design and voice quality. Combined with Android’s open, flexible graphical user interface and the power of Verizon Wireless’ 3G network, DROID is a smartphone that simply doesn’t compromise.”

Palm Pixi Coming To Sprint November 15th

Sprint has confirmed that the Palm Pixie will be available from the 15th of November, for $99.99 with a contract, after mail in rebates, which seems a little expensive to us considering the Palm Pre is $150.

The Palm Pixie is Palm’s second mobile phone to run Palm’s new webOS, and it is a candy bar style phone with a built in keyboard on the front, and it shares a lot of features with the Palm Pre.

“We are excited to offer the new Palm Pixi to our customers in time for the holiday season, and it’s a great addition to Sprint’s industry-leading device portfolio,” said Kevin Packingham, senior vice president – Product Development, Sprint. “Simply put, this phone is fun and easy to use; with its multi-touch screen and full QWERTY keyboard, it’s a great device for messaging and social networking at a price everyone can enjoy, and delivers so many of the great features people love about Palm Pre™ in a fantastic new form factor, making it a huge hit for consumers.”

It also features a 2.63 inch display with a resolution of 320 x 400, other features of the Palm Pixie include a 2 megapixel camera, as opposed to the 3 megapixel camera in the Pre, plus an accelerometer and GPS.

Motorola briefly published a website for its new Motorola Droid Android smartphone, the website was quickly taken down, but not before someone managed to capture screen shots and a video of it which reveal the specifications on this new smartphone.

The Motorola Droid will come with a 3.7 inch, 16:9 touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 854, on top of that there is a 5 megapixel camera with 4x zoom, autofocus and a dual LED flash.

Other specifications include a 550MHz processor, a 16GB microSD card, GPS, Bluetooth, 802.11b/g WiFi and a micro USB port. It will come with a 1400 mAh Li-ion battery which will give you up to 385 minutes of talk time and up to 270 hours of standby time.

The Motorola Droid measures 2.4 inches x 4.6 inches by 0.5 inches thick and it weighs in at 6 ounces, it will come with Google Android 2.0, there are no details as yet on the release date or pricing.

RIM has announced the launch of their latest handset which will replace the massively popular BlackBerry Bold 9000, The BlackBerry Bold 9700.

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 features a new design, and is slightly smaller than the previous model, measuring 4.29 inches tall by 2.36 inches wide by 0.56 inches thick and it weighs in at 4.3 ounces.

The new BlackBerry Bold 9700 features a 2.44 inch HVGA display with a resolution of 480 x 360, and it features a similar 35 key QWERTY keyboard to the previous model, the camera has also had a bump up with the BlackBerry Bold 9700 featuring a 3.2 megapixel camera.

The trackball navigator from the Bold 9000 has been replaced with a touch sensitive trackpad, and it also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, it features double the internal flash memory with 256MB but this can be expanded up to 32GB with a microSD card.

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is a quad band mobile phone and it features built in WiFi, A-GPS, Bluetooth,3G connectivity.

It will go on sale worldwide in November, there is no word on pricing as yet.

Philips is launching a new Google Android powered smartphone, the Philips V808, which will go on sale in China shortly.

The Philips V808 is their second Android powered handset and it comes with a 3.2 inch HVGA touchscreen display, a 3.2 megapixel camera, and microSD card support up to 8GB.

The Philips V808 also comes with widget support and music and video player, it features a 1000 mAh battery, and connectivity comes in the form of GSM/GPRS/EDGE.

There is no word on pricing or availability, or any details when we might see the Philips V808 is the US and Europe.

The Boy Genius Report has gone hands on with Motorola’s latest Google Android handset, the Motorola Droid, which will come with a new version of Google Android 2.0 (eclair).

The Motorola Droid features a slide out Qwerty keyboard, and a capacitive touchscreen display, and according to the BGR it is the fastest Android handset they have used so far.

Verizon has confirmed that the Palm Pre is coming to its mobile phone network next year, which should put an end to the rumors that Verizon was going to pass on the Palm Pre.

The announcement came from Verizon’s official Twitter feed, you can see the details of the tweet below.

This is good new for Verizon customers, who will also see a new range of Google Android handsets being released which are being developed in a joint venture between Verizon and Google.

The GSM Palm Pre has gone on sale in the UK today, it is available exclusively through O2, and it comes free on a 24 month contract that costs users £34.26 per month.

The £34.26 contract includes unlimited data and free WiFi, there are also other cheaper contracts available where the Palm Pre can be purchased for an additional fee.

The GSM Palm Pre features a 3.1 inch touchscreen display, with a slide out QWERTY keyboard, there is also a 3 megapixel camera with an LED flash, GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi.

It will be interesting to see how well the Palm Pre does in the UK, as we reported earlier there has been a great initial response to it, and it may end up being a very popular handset.

Microsoft Recover ‘Most if not all’ Sidekick Data

Good new for Sidekick users, it looks like things may not be as bad as they seemed with regards to the lost data to T-Mobile Sidekick users, as Microsoft [MSFT] has announced that it has managed to recover ‘most if not all’ of the lost data.

The lost customer data will return to users as soon as possible, and personal contact will be restored first, check out the full statement below.

On behalf of Microsoft, I want to apologize for the recent problems with the Sidekick service and give you an update on the steps we have taken to resolve these problems.

We are pleased to report that we have recovered most, if not all, customer data for those Sidekick customers whose data was affected by the recent outage. We plan to begin restoring users’ personal data as soon as possible, starting with personal contacts, after we have validated the data and our restoration plan. We will then continue to work around the clock to restore data to all affected users, including calendar, notes, tasks, photographs and high scores, as quickly as possible.

We now believe that data loss affected a minority of Sidekick users. If your Sidekick account was among those affected, please continue to log into these forums for the latest updates about when data restoration will begin, and any steps you may need to take. We will work with T-Mobile to post the next update on data restoration timing no later than Saturday.

We have determined that the outage was caused by a system failure that created data loss in the core database and the back-up. We rebuilt the system component by component, recovering data along the way. This careful process has taken a significant amount of time, but was necessary to preserve the integrity of the data.

We will continue working closely with T-Mobile to restore user data as quickly as possible. We are eager to deliver the level of reliable service that our incredibly loyal customers have become accustomed to, and we are taking immediate steps to help ensure this does not happen again. Specifically, we have made changes to improve the overall stability of the Sidekick Service and initiated a more resilient backup process to ensure that the integrity of our database backups is maintained.

Once again, we apologize for this situation and the inconvenience that it has created. Please know that we are working all-out to resolve this situation and restore the reliability of the service.

This is good news for Sidekick users, lets hope everyone gets their lost data back.

RIM has officially announced the BlackBerry Storm 2, which features the same clickable touchscreen interface, with improvements to it with faster typing and multi-touch capabilities.

The BlackBerry Storm 2 will go on sale in the UK later this month, and will be available on Vodafone for free with a £35 a month contract.

The new BlackBerry Storm 2 features built in WiFi, has 2GB of built in memory and a 3.2 megapixel camera with a x2 digital, plus a 3.25 inch touchscreen.

There is no word on the exact release date for the US as yet, but it expected to be around November and it will probably retail for about $200 with a two year contract.

It looks like we have another new product from Acer today, they have just announced their first Google Android smartphone, the Acer Liquid.

The Acer Liquid will comes with Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and will run Google’s Android (1.6) OS, on top of that there is a WVGA touchscreen, a 5 megapixel camera with built in auto focus, ISO, ge-tagging and a self timer.

Connectivity comes in the form of HSPA, other details are pretty scarce at the moment, although it will come with Exclusive Spinlets application providing free streaming of worldwide music and video, smart integration of Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Picasa and Flickr.

O2 Germany are the first European country to start selling the Palm Pre, as of today the GSM Palm Pre is now available.

The GSM Palm Pre is exclusive to O2 Germany, if you live in Germany and want one the Palm Pre is available for 481 Euros without a contract, O2 are offering to finance it with 24 monthly payments of 20 Euros.

On top of that they are offering a Data contract which will cost users a flat rate of 8.50 Euros per month, plus taxes.

The UK version of the GSM Palm Pre goes on sale later this week on October the 16th.

T-Mobile Offers Sidekick Users $100 Gift Card For Lost Data

T-Mobile has announced that Sidekick users may lose some of their personal data which was stored on servers maintained by Microsoft [MSFT], to make up for the data loss they will be giving all customers affected by the outage a $100 gift card.

Here is what T-Mobile had to say about it

Dear valued T-Mobile Sidekick customers:

We are thankful for your continued patience as Microsoft/Danger continues to work on preserving platform stability and restoring all services for our Sidekick customers. We have made significant progress this past weekend, restoring services to virtually every customer. Microsoft/Danger has teams of experts in place who are working around-the-clock to ensure this stability is maintained.
Regarding those of you who have lost personal content, T-Mobile and Microsoft/Danger continue to do all we can to recover and return any lost information. Recent efforts indicate the prospects of recovering some lost content may now be possible. We will continue to keep you updated on this front; we know how important this is to you.

In the event certain customers have experienced a significant and permanent loss of personal content, T-Mobile will be sending these customers a $100 customer appreciation card. This will be in addition to the free month of data service that already went to Sidekick data customers. This card can be used towards T-Mobile products and services, or a customer’s T-Mobile bill. For those who fall into this category, details will be sent out in the next 14 days – there is no action needed on the part of these customers. We however remain hopeful that for the majority of our customers, personal content can be recovered.

The Armani SPH-W8200 features a 3.1 inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel camera, and a slide out QWERTY keyboard.

On top of that there is HSDPA, Bluetooth, a built in DMB TV tuner (for use in Korea), a microSD card slot which can take microSD cards up to 16GB, one thing that is missing is a 3.5mm headphone jack.

There is no word on pricing or availability as yet, but we can expect this designer smartphone to have a designer price.

Apple Causes Flash Memory Shortage …Again

It has been revealed that Apple is causing another Flash Memory shortage after purchasing huge quantities from the top tier makers. This is making Taiwan’s memory module makers to diversify their NAND flash supplies to minimise procurement risks.

Demand is expected to climb 81% this year and prices have climbed 14% on some modules already. As Apple is one of the world’s largest individual customers for flash memory, it has instigated shortages in the past but rarely for multiple suppliers at once.

The T-Mobile myTouch 3G Fender Limited Edition will come with a wooden finish, as you can see from the photos it looks pretty cool.

Other additions to the limited edition model over the original include a 3.5mm headphone jack, and it will also come bundled with a 16GB microSD card that will be preloaded with music.

You will now be able to make Skype calls over 3G with AT&T who have just approved Voip to be used over their 3G network. Previously, VoIP applications on iPhone were enabled for Wi-Fi connectivity. It will also open the door for more VoIP apps very shortly we are sure.

We showed you some leaked images of the HTC Leo, before on Geeky Gadgets, HTC has officially announced the ‘Leo’ and it is now officially called the HTC HD2.

The HTC HD2 will come with Windows Mobile, and will feature HTC’s sense UI, although it wont be the exact same version found on Android handsets.

Other specification include a 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen display, with a resolution of 480 x 800, and it features Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and will also come with 512MB of ROM and 448MB of RAM.

The HTC HD2 will also have a microSD card slot so you can add additional storage, plus a 5 megapixel camera with a dual LED flash, a 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and HSDPA.
