This pocket sized iPhone projector is capable of projecting a 60″ on to a screen or wall from your iPhone or iPod or any video source that has composite outputs. This mini gadget only measures 4.75″ x 2″ x 1″ and weighs just 6oz for complete portability.

The LED projector light projects a 480 x 320 1000:1 picture with a 3:2 aspect ratio.

Packed it to its tiny case is also a 0.5 watt speaker and headphone jack which is all powered by an internal rechargable battery capable of 3 hours of play back from a single charge. But an AC adapter is also provided for if required.

iCarte Turns Your iPhone Into an RFID Reader

There have been a few rumors that the next generation Apple iPhone may contain a built in RFID tag reader, I guess we wont know until next year when apple release a new iPhone.

In the meantime a company called Wireless Dynamics has developed an accessory for the iPhone and iPod touch along with an app that can read RFID tags and near field communications, called the iCarte.

“We are excited about the introduction of NFC, RFID and contactless payment solutions for this (iPhone) game-changing smartphone platform with millions of users,” said Ambrose Tam, Chief Executive Officer of Wireless Dynamics Inc. “We anticipate that there will be many mobile payment and e-Commerce applications to be developed for the iPhone and iCarte™ to speed up the adoption of NFC and RFID.”

The iCarte slots onto your iPhone and plugs into your sync port, the device can then read RFID tags and transfer the data to the iPhone app.

It can also transmit NFC or FRID data over WiFi and 3G, and it is compatible with the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS, and it even comes with a mini USB connector so you can still charge your iPhone when the device is plugged in.

The TomTom iPhone Car Kit is now available in Europe as of today, it is compatible with the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS and works with the TomTom iPhone App.

The Yamaha TSX W80 clock radio iPod Dock features a 2.1 speaker system and comes with Yamaha’s wireless AirWired cable that lets you wirelessly stream your tunes from your iPhone or iPod direct to the clock radio.

Other features include built in alarm functions, it does look pretty cool from the photo I like the design, and having the AirWired cradle would be pretty handy.

Unfortuantely there is no word on pricing or availability as yet.

Here is another fun homemade iPhone dock for today, the Wooden Automata iPhone Dock.

The Wooden Automata iPhone Dock uses a hand crank system to switch the iPhone from landscape to portrait mode, check out the video of it in action below.

For an iPhone dock, I wanted it to be able to change from portrait to landscape mode. And here’s where the Automata comes into the picture. I decided to create a mechanism which would enable me to change iPhone’s orientation using arrangements of wooden gears.

The iTwing features a standard Qwerty Keypad, and you iPhone slips inside aq case, and the keyboard then covers half of the iPhone screen, this is normally where the iPhone keyboard appears in email, messaging and notes.

Whilst is seems like a novel idea, am am not sure how good it would be to use in practice, if anyone gets one lets us know if it is any good.

Some of our readers will remember the cool Game Boy iPhone case that we featured on the site a while back, now there is a new version available in limited quantities to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Game Boy and the 25th anniversary of Tetris, the Tetris Game Boy iPhone Case.

This cool custom iPhone case measures 5.9 x 3.11 x 0.6 inches, and will fit all iPhones and iPod Touch’s.

We tried our best to add a great level of detail to the Game Boy’s face and the game screen itself, with a little bit of artistic license (the A and B buttons are actual buttons, and the LED on the side of the screen is a red Murano Glass bead!). All the frontal features of the case are hand-sewn, and the sides and the lining are machine-sewn for added strength.
