It looks like Samsung isn’t the only company who has decided to take a swipe at Apple in their latest advert, now it is Amazon’s turn with a new advert for the Kindle Fire and other Kindle devices.

As you can see in the video below, Amazon is having a direct go at the price of the iPad compared to its Kindle product range, saying that you can get three Kindles for the price of an iPad.

Andru Is The Coolest MicroUSB Charger For Android Fans

A new music video has been created by Ok Go in partnership with Chevrolet, that uses a car to play over a 1,000 instruments during a high speed drive along a desert road.

To create the innovative music video a Chevy Sonic car was outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms, which can be controlled to play the instruments as the car drives along. The band recorded this version of Needing/Getting, singing as they played the instruments with the car, check it out after the jump to see the very unique music video in motion.

Well a company called RcSuperheros has created two remote control air vehicles in the shape of humans in two sizes you can now purchase to take to the skies. Measuring either 78 or 58 inches long and weighing around 3.3 lbs each.

In the video after the break you can see three of these human shaped RC vehicles being flown around New York City to create the illusion of people flying. Enjoy!

Two Canadian teenagers have managed to send the worlds first Lego astronaut into space, with a budget of just $400 they managed to send a Lego Minifig out to the edge of space at a height of 85,000 feet.

This was done using a weather balloon which they purchased for $85, a Styrofoam box with some gel hand warmers, and some point and shoot cameras, have a look at the video of the worlds first Lego man in space below.

Star Wars Uncut, Fans Recreate Every Frame Of The Classic Movie (video)

Back in 2009 the Star Wars Uncut project was started to try and produce a fan made version of the classic Star Wars movie. Star Wars Uncut was started by Casey Pugh, who divided the Star Wars movie into 472 15-second segments and then asked Star Wars fans to help fill the sequences with their own interpretation of the movie.

Now after more than three years the fully complete remake of the Star Wars movie has now been spliced together and is ready to view in a 2 hour masterpiece. Watch it in its full glory after the jump.

The life size edible Stormtrooper cake has been created and baked by Oak Leaf Cakes, for the Arisia Science Fiction Convention in Boston, and measure a massive 6ft 4 inches in height. It took ten people two full weeks to make the cake and put all the pieces together.

Depending on where you live you may or may not get any snow this Christmas, where I live all we have at the moment is rain, it looks like Google has decided that we should have snow everywhere and they have added a fun Easter egg to their search engine.

If you type ‘Let it Snow’ into Google you will end up for the search results for ‘Let it Snow’, and after a few seconds it will actually start to snow on the Google page you have landed on, have a look at the photo below.

Dutch airliner KLM have recently outed their latest bid to make flying a more adventurous experience. Rather than bother with a travel agent or go for those last-minute and utterly horrible airport ticket purchases, they now allow passengers to choose their seats thru a Facebook-powered app. There’s more to Meat & Seat than finding a surprise seatmate via Facebook though, as users can access Facebook profiles of other passengers to choose exactly who they want to sit next too. That’s pretty nice.

Nah, kidding. No pepper spray was used in the real incident over at Hillsboro, Portland, Oregon. According to local rag The Oregonian, a 33 year old man named David Allen Canterbury assaulted people with toy lightsabers at Toys R Us, prompting a 911 call. He then vacated the premises and tousled with the police, who wrestled him to the ground after their taser attempts were thwarted…by a guy with a couple of toy lightsabers.

In what amounts to a rather bad idea, Diesel has outed a line of superhero themed boxer briefs. Maybe this is DC Comics’ way at getting back at the Avengers movie. Strange though, because there’s even a Joker themed pair of briefs. Sorry folks, wearing them doesn’t grant superpowers. Besides, superheroes and underwear? Not a bad combination, since even Superman wore his blazing red undies over his trousers. Never really understood why, but it was an enduring fashion statement that has permeated the popular consciousness.

Three gamers have spent over 500 hours and used 18 millions Minecraft blocks to recreate the first two minutes and twenty seconds of Super Mario Land within Minecraft.The huge undertaking was reproduced pixel by pixel, by watching the original monochrome Super Mario Land playing in a emulator.

The team of builders consisted of James Wright, Joe Ciappa and a gamer known as Tempusmori. Watch their painstaking work all come together after the break, together with a behind the scenes look at how the movie and scenes were created. Enjoy!

After spending more than a year being washed around the Pacific Ocean, a Canon EOS 1000D camera and the photographs contained on its SD card have been reunited with its owner.

As you would expect the Canon EOS camera, pictured below, is no longer working. But the SanDisk Extreme III SD card inside of it was able to be washed, and more than 50 images were recovered. With a date stamp suggesting the camera had been in the salty depths for over a year.

Simon Dale a 32 year old UK man has built his very own Hobbit House for his family after becoming fed up with increasing mortgage repayments.

The construction of the very unique Hobbit style house took Dale just four months and only £3,000. When Dale started the project he had no experience in building or architecture. But armed with just a chisel, a chainsaw and a hammer, together with scraps he could scavenge from skips, he’s created a fantastic house for his family any Tolkien fans would be proud of.
