There are plenty of very geeky ways to get around town if you don’t want to drive or walk. You can go with one of the folding electric bikes or something really geeky like a Segway. A new design concept submitted to the James Dyson Award program called Treadway Wearable Mobility may be the geekiest of all.
This concept is a pair of wheeled contraptions that you attach to any shoes. The things have wheels on the back and are powered by an electric motor. The juice for those motors comes from rechargeable lithium batteries.
The picture below might well look like a frame from the Iron Man 2 movie but in fact its a picture of Colorodan Anthony Le wearing his $4,000 homemade Iron Man 2 costume of War Machine.

Blake Bevin decided to create a pair of shoes where the shoes laces would tie themselves at the press of a button, just like in Back to the Future II, and came up with this fun invention.
The Self Tying Shoe Lace uses an Arduino micro controller and a pair of Nike sneakers, and Blake describes them as ‘this project is less ‘Practical’ than ‘Proof of Concept’, but hopefully it’ll tide you over until Nike comes out with something more polished.’
One of the cool features in iOS 4 for the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 is the ability to finally be able to customize your home screen and lock screen photos.
This has led to lots of cool custom images being released on the web, although we think this is probably the coolest one we have seen so far, and will definitely appeal to all the video game fans out there, the Pac-Man iOS 4 wallpaper.

The new Carry-On coat from the same company is a much longer jacket than the vest we talked about before and it has way more pockets. The jacket is longer than your average jacket and has pockets on each side for gadgets.
