PS3 gamers have had a hard time trying to play Skyrim since its release, with lagging issues during gameplay making playing the fantastic game a little challenging at times. The new patch has been rolled out to North America and Europe and is expected to trickle down to all gamers within the next 24 hours.

To accompany the launch of the new Mass Effect 3 game shortly to be launching on March 12th for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. BioWare has revealed that a new iOS game will be launching alongside and will enables gamers to play a storyline alongside the main Mass Effect 3 game.

Within the iOS Mass Effect Infiltrator arriving on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, actions affect the larger Mass Effect 3 storyline, and weapons unlocked in the mobile version can be used in Mass Effect 3. But EA has confirmed that you do not need to get Mass Effect Infiltrator to get Mass Effect 3′s best ending.

UK mobile phone carrier Vodafone has announced that the Sony PS Vita 3G will be available in the UK from the 22nd of February, and it will retail for £279 and comes with a 4GB memory card and a pre-paid SIM card.

Vodafone will be offering an initial £5 top up on the SIM card which will give you 250MB of data that lasts for 30 days, and it will also come with WipeOut 2048.

BioWare Hints More Mass Effect Games Maybe On The Horizon

In an interview with GamerZines Mass Effect 3 Associate Producer Mike Gamble, suggested that more Mass Effect games could be on the way. Saying that gamers who will be playing the new Mass Effect 3 game shortly to be released, should keep a copy of their save game just in case.

The hint could be towards additional DLC, but seems seams very likely anyway, and even though Mass Effect 3 is the end of Shepard’s story. Another instalment in the popular series is probably more likely.

Sony has revealed that any digital games purchased in the US or Japan PlayStation Stores to be downloaded, will come with a 10% discount over their retail versions. Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker Anime Film Launching This Spring (video)

BioWare and FUNimation has today released a new trailer for its upcoming Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker anime film which it hopes to launch later this year, in the spring.

Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker will be the first feature-length, animated addition to the Dragon Age world. BioWare and FUNimation has also setup a new website to promote the new animated film which will be launched on both DVD and Blu-ray. Watch a production update in the video after the jump.

Xbox 360 Adds Crackle And CinemaNow Content Streaming

The Xbox team as today announced via the Major Nelson website, that Crackle and CinemaNow have now been added to the media line-up available to Xbox Live users.The new new video from Sony Pictures’ Crackle and Best Buy’s CinemaNow applications now enable users to enjoy even more streaming content.

If you haven’t had a chance to use either of these services on other systems or set-top boxes yet. Crackle it’s packed with tons of free TV shows and movies, and they’re all free. CinemaNow is Best Buy’s streaming rental/purchase movie service.

Xbox 720 Not Coming This Year?

We have been hearing a number of rumors about the next generation Xbox console, which may be called the Xbox 720, and we were expecting to see the device launch before the end of 2012.

Now according to Microsoft France, the Xbox 720 will not launch this year, in a recent interview with Le Point, Microsoft’s France’s marketing director, Cederik Delmas has told the publication that he is ‘certain’ the new Xbox 720 will not launch this year.

AMD Radeon HD 7950 Graphic Card Launches

AMD has this week launched a new graphics card to its range in the form of the AMD Radeon HD 7950 based on the same 28nm Graphics Core Next GPU as the AMD Radeon HD 7970, code-named Tahiti.

In comparison the Radeon HD 7950 is a slightly cut down version clocked at 800MHz compared to the HD 7970′s 925MHz. Even though it clocked under 1 GHz there have been rumours that Taiwanese graphics card manufacturer may very soon be launching overclocked Radeon HD 7950 cards for sale.

Mass Effect 3 the third game in the series will be arriving in stores on March 6th for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. The new game will bring with it the traditional single player story line but will also bring a new multiplayer mode.

The new multiplayer feature will enable you to going forces with up to four friends to tackle larger foes within the game, and success in multi-player games will have a direct impact on the outcome of the single player campaign, giving you an alternative method of achieving victory through the game.

Mass Effect Texture Mod Improves Main Character Detail Four Fold

Any gamers looking to run back through the first and second Mass Effect games might be interested to learn that a new texture mod has been created that will allow you to add extra details to the graphics of the main characters.

The new Mass Effect texture mod has been created by JeanLuc761, which has been developed with the sole purpose of improving select textures (mostly for characters) in Mass Effect 1 and 2. When the game was released, character textures ranged from a resolution of 512×512 to 1024×1024. See a comparison of the old and new textures after the jump.

Over the weekend Paradox Interactive has released a new demo for its recently launched King Arthur II – The Role-playing Wargame. The new demo allows gamers to play through the title’s tutorial and first mission, equalling around 60 minutes of gameplay, giving you a taste of whats in the full game.

999 Players Enjoy Massive Man vs Machine FPS Battle (video)

Over the weekend 999 gamers joined forces to play in the Swedish network technology company Pikkotekk’s world record attempt. Which was created to recruit a 1000 players to battle it out against each other in their custom built Man vs Machine first person shooter game.

Unfortunately Pikkotekk didn’t quite make the 1000 they hoped for but after the success of the weekends gaming, PikkoServer, say “Our goal now is to make this technology available to developers worldwide”. So expect to see the technology used to build new games over the coming years. Watch a video after the jump showing the chaos that was unleashed by 999 gamers as they clashed.

Renegade-X: Back Dawn is a free First Person Shooter (FPS), being developed by Totem Arts; a group of volunteers committed to bringing the Command and Conquer FPS experience to the current iteration of the Unreal Engine. Black Dawn is a short singleplayer campaign, that was released on January 28th 2012, ahead of the upcoming multiplayer release.

Reneagde X is an updated versions go the game original multiplayer experience which was created in Unreal Tournament 3, and has been available for sometime. The development of Black Dawn has given Totem Arts the opportunity to update much of the outdated game code used in the Unreal Tournament version of the game.
