Awesome Star Wars Tauntaun Costume

Scott Holden has created probably the coolest Star Wars costume we have ever seen on Geeky Gadgets, the Star Wars Tauntaun Costume.

The Star Wars Tauntaun Costume was designed in Solidworks, and then Scott used a variety of materials, which include, wood, expanded metal, and plaster of paris, and foam, check out the video of it in action below.

Toshiba’s Space Chair Project

Toshiba has created a cool advert for their new 2010 REGZA SV LCD TV range by sending a chair to the edge of space and filming it.

The chair was lifted to 98,268 feet, which took 83 minutes to get there, the chair was fitted with a helium balloon and a Toshiba IK-HR1S compact camera to film the action, check out the video below.

Etch A Sketch Freestyle

It looks like the classic Etch A Sketch has had a makeover, and there is now a new version called the Etch A Sketch Freestyle.

Instead of the two separate dials used to draw a picture on the screen, it features a single ball in the middle which is designed to get rid of the pixelated lines from the original.

We have seen quite a few cool PC case mods here at geeky gadgets, the latest one is this cool ION Cube PC Case Mod, from Bill Owen from Mnpctech.

The ION Cube PC Case Mod won first place in NVIDIA’s ION case mod contest, and the mod consists of a Zotac Nvidia ION 330 ITX A-U Motherboard, which is ready to go out of the box, memory and a hard drive was added, and it was ready to go.

Walky- The iPhone Controlled Robot

How cool would it be to control your favourite robot toy with finger gestures on your iPhone? Yuta Sugiura and his colleagues at the Keio University have developed a new control system for robots called ‘Walky’ that lets you control various robots with your iPhone.

Walky can be used to make the robot walk, jump, turn and even kick a mini football, check out the video below which shows it in action.
