Microsoft Drops Zune HD Price

Microsoft has cut the price of its Zune HD portable media player, although it is not clear whether this is permanent price drop or just part of a promotion.

Microsoft has said that price drop may be temporary. The 16GB Zune HD is now available for $200 from the Microsoft store, whilst the 32GB model is now available for $270.

Prepeat Inkless Printer Erases And Writes Documents

Printer ink is pretty expensive, it would be cool to have a printer that didn’t need a new ink cartridge every five minutes, one has been developed called Prepeat, although it is quite expensive.

The Prepeat printer doesn’t use any ink or toner cartridges, instead it uses a special thermal head and plastic sheets to print and erase documents, which means you can use the same paper again and again.

Skype VoIP Calls Over 3G Coming To The iPhone

Skype has announced that it is working on a new version of its iPhone application that will bring VoIP calls over 3G to the Apple iPhone.

Amazon Purchases Touch Screen Company Touchco

Amazon is obviously looking to enhance its Kindle e-book reader range with a touchscreen model, maybe in an attempt to give the Apple an iPad a run for its money, as it has just purchased touch screen start up company Touchco.

Touchco have developed interpolating force-sensitive resistance technology that can be used in transparent, flexible and pressure sensitive touch screens, which we could see in the Kindle in the not to distant future.

sOccket – The Energy Generating Soccer Ball
