The Getty lamp was designed by Marcus Tremento. The lamp is made of electroluminescent wire and Perspex. It is an extremely unique light fixture. The lamp measures 21 inches in height and 30 inches wide.
The Archipod
The Archipod is a unique garden office that offers a new way for people to work from home. By using the Archipod, people can commute to work each day by simply walking into their garden. The Archipod was created to blend into a garden landscape and still be efficient, unique, and ergonomic. The structure resembles a pine cone.
Visual Sound Mobile Phone
The visual sound mobile phone was designed for the hard-of-hearing and for individuals who are deaf. The phone works by converting a person’s voice into text and converts text input into voice. Suhyun Kim, a student at Pratt Institute, created the device.
Airmouse
Breaking the mould of the traditional mouse design a Canadian company Deanmark have developed a very innovative solution that’s worn like a glove. The Airmouse straps onto your index and middle finger and is equipped with an optical tracking laser.
The Airmouse is designed to increase your mouse speed and accuracy by seamlessly aligning itself with the ligaments of your hand and wrist. Allowing you to mouse for longer and reduce the possibility of any RSI injuries.
Reverse Geocaching Box
I’m sure you’ve all heard of geo-tagging, the method of adding map coordinates to photographs and gadgets to use positional markers. Well this reverse geo-caching gift box uses the same technology but can only be opened once positioned within the set coordinates i.e once the longitude and latitude match the contents can be accessed.
Excellent if you would like to keep something secure within your office or use it as a unique gift with a twist.
Archos 7 Android Tablet Details Leaked
Various details about the new Achos 7 Android Tablet have been posted by the Archos fan site. These details include the specifications for a 7 inch colour touchscreen device with an 8 GB of internal storage, capable of storing up to 10 movies.
Even though the device has a larger 7 inch screen resolution still remains the same at 800×480. The main differences between this and its predecessor model the series 5, include a user facing web cam, 7 inch screen, DC charger and slide locking on off switch. The microphone has also been relocated away from the internal speaker for improved clarity.
Photos Of The Tron 2 Legacy Bike
The guys over at Pocket lint have managed to get some photos of a life sized version of the bike used in the upcoming Tron 2 Legacy movie. It was made by toymaker Spin Master, who are making the official toys for the movie, check out the photos of it below.

Cold War Airplane-Hotel Room
The Aircraft Suite is a fully equipped cockpit that was created from an old cold war plane. The plane was transformed into a luxury hotel room. The plane is located at the airport Teuge in the Netherlands and gives guests a beautiful suite that overlooks the runway and apron of the airport.
HULC Super-soldier Exoskeleton
HULC is a powered exoskeleton which is being developed by Lockheed Martin for soldiers and military personnel. The HULC exoskeleton mimics the human form and enables the wearer to carry increased loads over longer distances.
Described as ‘wearable robot’s’, exoskeletons sense what the users body wants to do and go and then mimics these motions. Check out the video after the jump.

We’ve featured a number of steampunk mods here at Geeky Gadgets but I can’t remember any GameBoy customisations. This fantastic Steampunk Gameboy mod by Thretris is hand-painted and fully functional.
