The Target Clock

We have seen quite a few cool clocks here at Geeky Gadgets, the latest one is from German designer, Simon Lumb.

The Target clock uses two colored discs which are interlocked, the two discs turn to show the hand position on the clock, check out the video of it in action below.

Automatic Speed Bumps

These new speed bumps designed and created by Mexico’s Decano Industries which react to the speed of your car.

If you are travelling too fast and hit the speed bump metal plates increase the size of the bump letting you know your going to fast. If you hit them at a slower speed both plates immediately collapse into the ground under the weight of the car and your ride is uninterrupted. Check out the video after the jump.

The Solar Traffic Light

We are starting to see a number of more greener and energy efficient gadgets and technology being released all the time, like the new electric cars from various manufacturers, but it is going to be some time before we see more energy efficient gadgets in every day life.

Cheetah Inspired Robot

Professor Sangbae Kim designer of the Stickybot and a  Robotic designer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Is trying to understand how he can replicate  natural animal  mechanisms by creating a robot inspired by the cheetah.

The idea is to build a prototype robot from a construction of  lightweight carbon-fiber-foam that will then be able to match  the cheetah’s speed of 70 miles per hour.

Student Builds Spherical Robot

A student at Colorado State University, Greg Schroll has built a spherical robot that can climb over obstacles and navigate the toughest terrains.

The Spherical Robot uses gyroscopes to drive and turn the robot by creating torque on the robot, check out the video of it in action after the jump.
