New iMac Near Release

Apple Insider has received news that the new design for the latest Apple [AAPL] iMac was  finalised in September and the Mac maker’s Taiwanese manufacturer have already begun production of the new Apple iMac models.

The new iMac range is rumoured to follow a  similar design style to the relatively new Apple Cinema displays.

iPhone OS 3.1 Battery Problems

There have been a number of reports of iPhone users experiencing battery problems since the latest iPhone update, iPhone OS 3.1, with lots of users reporting the problem on the Apple Discussions forum.

Some users have reported that the battery seems to last about 25% less, than with iPhone OS 3.0, and some are even reporting that the iPhone is using as much as 10 to 15% of the battery power for every hour it is in standby mode.

First Apple Mac Plus Goes Up For Auction

The first ever Apple Mac Plus, which was given to Star Trek Creator Gene Roddenberry by Apple in January of 1986 is going to be sold at auction.

The Auction house expects it to sell for $800 to $1,200 so you might just be able to get your hands on it, although we suspect it will probably sell for a lot more.

The $1,300 Apple Logo T-Shirt

Check out this cool Apple Logo t-shirt, that was created by freelance journalist and Mac fan Domenico Panacea.

Domineco spent 900 Euros, about $1,300 to hire the Philips Lumalive shirt, for a month, the  shirt can display message and images on the built in 128MB of memory, and is designed to be used in promotional campaigns.

New iPod Touch 50% Faster

The guys over at Macworld have just tested the claim from Apple that their latest 32/64GB iPod touch is 50% faster than the old iPod touch and the speed increase is very close. Boot times have gone from 31 seconds to 19 seconds and web page load between 33% and 50% faster on the new iPod Touch.

Apple TV Prices Slashed 40GB model dropped

Apple has just announced this morning that it’s 160 GB Apple TV device is now $100 less at $229. This only fuels  rumours  that Apple is now aiming its sights on high resolution devices using its all-new iTunes Extras/LP format. However this format is limited at the moment as it doesn’t yet play on an iPhone or an iPod touch.

iTunes 9 Breaks Palm Pre Syncing

When Apple (AAPL) released version 8.2.1 of iTunes, it removed the ability to be able to sync your Palm Pre with iTunes, Palm hit back with webOS 1.1 which brought Palm Pre syncing with iTunes back to pre users.

Apple’s latest version of iTunes, iTunes 9 which was released the other day has once again disabled the ability to sync your Palm Pre with iTunes.

iPhone OS 3.1 Full Details

Yesterday as well as releasing a new version of iTunes, iTunes 9, Apple (AAPL) also updated the iPhone software to their latest version, iPhone OS 3.1.

iPhone OS 3.1 comes with a host of new features, that take advantage of the latest version of iTunes, including Genius recommendations for apps, plus you can also download ringtones wirelessly.

Apple Announces A New iPod Nano With Built In Camera

Apple (AAPL) has announced the launch of a new iPod Nano, unlike the new iPod Touch this one does feature a built in camera as previously reported.

The built in camera is capable of recording video in H.264 VGA at a resolution of 640 x 480 at 30 frames per second with AAC audio.

Apple Announces New iPod Touch

We have seen quite a few rumors over the last couple of weeks, and even some pictures earlier today of Apple’s new iPod Touch, well it is now official, Apple has updated its iPod Touch, although there is no built in camera as was previously rumored.

Apple (AAPL) has added a new 64GB iPod Touch to its range, which will compliment the 8GB and 32GB models, plus this new 64GB model will be 50% faster than the current model and run OpenGL ES 2.0, the same as the iPone 3GS.

Steve Jobs Announces iTunes 9 and iPhone OS 3.1

We knew a new Apple (AAPL) iPhone OS was coming, but we didn’t expect it to be announced today, and certainly didn’t expect it to be announced by Steve Jobs, who appeared on stage to a standing ovation, at the Apple Special Event.

The iPhone OS 3.1 will be available from today as a free download from iTunes, some of the new features include is the rumored pre-cut ringtones, plus a genius function, that will recommend apps to you based on ones you already have on your iPhone.

First Pictures of Apple’s New iPod Touch With Camera?

It looks like one iPod case manufacturer has decided to put some of its new cases for the new iPod Touch 3G up for sale on its website, ahead of todays Apples special event.

Case manufacturer Cygnett has a number of cases listed for the iPod Touch 3G, and as you can see from the photo below, it features a camera module.
