Apple is not happy about the Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone and it wants sales banned in the U.S. Why are they so mad that they want sales banned? They claim that it violates four Apple patents. The four patents are a “data tapping” patent, a patent involving Siri and unified search, a new slide-to-unlock patent, and a word-completion patent for touch-screen entry of text.

Apple Finalizing Apps For iPad 3 Launch?

We are expecting Apple to launch the new iPad 3 some time in the first week or March, and the device is rumored to come with a high resolution display with a 2048 x 1536 resolution.

We have been hearing rumors that the new iPad 3 will feature a much higher resolution display than the existing model, and the device is reported to come with a 2048 x 1536 resolution Retina display.

If the iPad 3 does feature a 2048 x 1536 resolution display, that would mean that you would be able to video a full HD movie on the iPad’s 9.7 inch display and also other content at the same time, which certainly sounds impressive.

iPad owners looking to add a little live TV to their Apple tablet might be interested in this new TV tuner which has been unveiled and lunched by Logitec called the LDT-1Si01.

The new iOS LDT-1Si01 tuner will be arriving in Japan later this month and lets you view One-seg satellite programming on the iPad and iPod. Unfortunately at the moment it doesn’t support Apple’s latest and greatest iPhone 4S.

It looks like the case between Samsung and Apple over Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 is has taken another turn in Samsung’s favor, the original Galaxy Tab 10.1 was banned for sale in Germany last year.

Samsung appealed the decision and released a newly modified version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Germany, called the Galaxy Tab 10.1N, although Apple once again tried to have this version banned for sale.

We heard earlier today that iOs 5.1 is expected to launch on the 9th of March, and as references to the iPad 3 have been found in iOS 5.1 beta 3 we would expected the iPad 3 to launch at a similar time.

Now according to All Things D, the iPad 3 will be announced by Apple at a special event in the first week in March, possibly Wednesday the 7th of March, with the device probably going on sale a week later.

Earlier today we saw some photos of an iPad casing which are reported to be for the new iPad 3, we have been hearing over the last few months that the iPad 3 will feature a higher resolution display, possibly with a 2048 x 1536 resolution and it will be powered by a new Apple A6 processor.

Everything we have heard about the new Apple A6 processor over the last few months is that it is expected to be a quad core processor, although now according to a recent report by The Verge, the A6 may not be a quad core processor after all.

We heard last month that references to the iPad 3 were discovered in the iOS 5.1 beta 3 and now it would appear that we could have a possible launch date for iOS 5.1.

The news comes from the guys over at Your Daily Mac who have discovered eleven new profiles for various iPhone operators, and the files are compatible with iOS 5.1 and are set to be released on the 9th of March.

We are expecting to get some sort of official announcement on the new iPad 3 from Apple some time next month, and now a reported iPad 3 casing has appear online, and if it is real it would mean there will be some significant changes in the new iPad 3.

As you can see from the photo below, the casing features different mounts for the logic board, which would mean that the new iPad 3 would feature a completely new logic board with a different shape and design over the previous versions.

Apple’s Siri was launched with the iPhone 4S last October, and it looks like Siri now makes up around 25 percent of all the searches performed on Wolfram Alpha.

When you ask Siri a question, depending on what type of question you ask it, many of the answers will come from Wolfram Alpha, if you ask Siri the time, you will get an answer direct from Siri, but if you ask it a more complex question then Wolfram Alpha will provide the answer.

The trademark for the name ‘iPad’ in China isn’t owned by Apple, and the company is currently engaged in a lawsuit with Proview, who own the trademark in China.

Proview sold a number of ‘iPad’ trademarks to Apple in other countries, although they maintain that they never sold the iPad trademark to Apple in China, and it could end up costing Apple around $38 million.

There have been rumors before that Apple may be switching their processors from Intel to ARM, and now we have some confirmation that Apple has at least considered the move.

The news comes from an intern who interned at Apple back in 2010 and is now an Apple employee, the intern worked for twelve weeks to get OS X working with ARM processors.

Motorola and Apple are currently involved in a court case in Germany which saw Apple remove its 3G enabled devices from sale on Friday for a short period, the device in question which included the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPad 3G went back on sale after Apple managed to appeal the injunction.

Now some details have been revealed by Foss Patents, on what Motorola wants from Apple in order to license the patents in question to them, 2.25 percent of Apple sales.

Apple’s HDTV Being Tested By Rogers And BCE?

According to the Globe and Mail, two companies already have Apple’s new HDTV in their labs, and are testing out the devices, the companies in question are Canada’s Rogers Communications and BCE Inc.

The report says that the HDTV has some of the features we have previously heard rumored, Apple’s Siri and hands gestures are apparently used to control the device.

It is been a while since I’ve heard any new rumors about the Apple TV set. So far, I’ve heard the TV set called the Apple TV, iTV, and now Apple HDTV. Best Buy is apparently running some sort customer survey on their website asking people questions about the Apple HDTV. I wouldn’t think they have any insider information, even though the survey gives up some details.

Apple has removed a number of fake applications from the App Store, the apps in question were from a developer called Anton Sinelikov, and they were basically copies of popular applications.

There were a total of nine fake applications from the developer removed from the app store, with names like Temple Jump, Tiny Birds and Numbers with friends which were basically copies of Temple Run, Tiny Wings and Words with Friends.

Apple iPad And iPhone Sales Resume In Germany

Last week we heard that sales of the iPad 3G, the iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 4 had been suspended in Germany, this was after an injunction which had previously been granted to M0torola came into force on Friday.

It would appear that the ban did not last long, as later on Friday Apple were granted a suspension of the Motorola Injunction and sales of Apple’s devices resumed.

Motorola has won a patent case against Apple in Germany, and Motorola has been granted an injunction against Apple, which could stop Apple selling certain devices in Germany.

The devices in question are the iPhone 3G, the iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 4 as well as all models of the iPad with WiFi and 3G, although it doesn’t cover the new iPhone 4S.

Evernote has today rolled out a new update 3.0.6 to their Mac application, which brings with it a newly revamped user interface for notes, together with range of enhancements to checklists, tables and more.

Back in June last year we featured a new iBamboo speaker dock which was constructed from.. you guessed it Bamboo. Now Anatoliy Omelchenko of Triangle Tree the manufactures and designers of the original iBamboo speaker dock have unveiled a new line of speaker docks called the Urban which are created from recycled plastic.

The new iBamboo Urban speaker dock has been created after custom feedback, and requests for a products that was a little more robust that the original iBamboo. Triangle Tree is currently in the process of sourcing manufactures to produce their new iBamboo Urban speaker dock, which will be available in both clear and solid colour versions for around $29.

Motion 5 provides Final Cut Pro X users with additional tools to tweak and customise video footage, and is available to purchase for $50.

Apple doesn’t own the trademark for the ‘iPad’ in China, the company lost a court case where it was trying to obtain the trademark in China back in December of last year.

Now Apple has filed an appeal with the courts in China in an attempt to get hold of the iPad trademark in the country, the ‘iPad’ trademark is owned by a company called Proview.

German Court Upholds Ban Of Original Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Samsung and Apple have been battling it out in a number of courts around the world over various patents relating to each companies products, one of the products that Apple managed to get banned was the original Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.

The tablet was banned from sale in Germany, and Samsung released a new model with some design changes, the Galaxy Tab 10.N, although Samsung has been trying to have the original ban overturned.

iWatch is an on going concept that ADR Studios first visualised back in 2010. Now ADR have updated their design to look a little slimmer and added a few more features, but unfortunately its still only a concept at the moment.

The iWatch concept would be equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and be fitted with 32GB of internal memory. As well as a FaceTime camera allowing you to chat with friends directly from your wrist.

Apple has announced that they have appointed a new Senior Vice President Of Retail, to replace the companies Ron Johnson who left the company back in November of last year.

John Browett is Apple’s new Senior Vice President Of Retail, his previous position was the CEO of UK retail chain Dixons, and before that he was at UK retailer Tesco’s.

A new Apple patent application has been uncovered by the Patently Apple website, which uses programmable magnets to lock and unlock iOS devices. The innovative patent which reveals some great concepts for using the programmable magnets was first filed back in July 2011.

Within the patent application Apple uses the example of a stylus which has been equipped with specially programmed magnets and can lock and unlock your iOS device simply by coming close to it.

Last week Apple released their latest financial results, and they also announced how many iPhone’s they sold in the last quarter of 2011 which covers the period from the 14th of October to the 31st of December.

Apple announced that they had sold a total of 37.04 million iPhones in the last quarter of 2012, although they didn’t provide a breakdown by model, the company sells three different models, the iPhone 3GS, the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S.

US mobile carrier AT&T has announced its latest financial results which cover the last quarter of 2011, and the company sold a total of 9.4 smartphones in quarter four of 2011.

Out of these 9.4 million smartphones sold, 7.6 million of them were iPhone’s, which means that out of all the smartphones that AT&T sold in the last quarter of 2011, 81 percent of these were Apple’s iPhone.
