Budweiser thinks that beer drinking needs to be even more social, so it and has integrated Facebook directly into the cup you drink your beer out of. This new beer cup is called the Buddy Cup and it has a chip in the base that links it to Facebook.
You need to turn it upside down and use the printed code (like a QR code) to link the cup with your Facebook account using your smartphone and an app. Now your cup is Facebook aware. If you toast another Buddy Cup, you automatically become friends on the social network.
Seems like Budweiser is trying too hard on this one. It just seems pretty annoying. Still, it is a clever marketing campaign.
