Blizzard is known for launching one hit title after another. That’s why each title has fans eagerly awaiting the release. One title that has been in the works for awhile is the rumored Titan MMO, a project that involves more than 100 team members.
Well, it looks like the Titan MMO project has just been scrapped. That is very sad because this particular project has been in the making for 7 years and now it will never see the light of day.
According to Blizzard’s Mike Morhaime, the company “didn’t find the fun” when they performed a re-evaluation, stating that the game itself was way too ambitious and did not “come together” as a cohesive work that gamers would want to play. There were also some concerns that rolling out Titan would continue to shape the company as an online RPG company, which is not the direction that Blizzard wants to go, wanting instead to launch “great games every time,”. The news is sad, but it does happen from time to time. Some games just never get fully realized. It just seems a real shame considering how much time and money and effort was spent on this project. Now they can move on to other things.
