If you don’t have apps, what good is your smartphone? iOS and Android have more than half a million apps each, so you have plenty of choice. No wonder the two platforms are the top choice. And RIM’s Blackberry 10 operating system looks good, but will it have enough apps to keep users happy?
RIM’s CMO Frank Boulben says that users of Blackberry 10 can expect about 70,000 apps at the launch of the platform. That’s good news. Hopefully they are quality apps, like those on iOS and Android.
We know that Facebook and Twitter will have apps for Blackberry 10. Hopefully 70,000 apps at launch will be enough to attract users and keep them for a long time.
