Every Jedi needs to construct their own lightsaber. And that’s just what BioWare employee Brad Lewis did with this epic replica of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s lightsaber from Star Wars: A New Hope. The man has some serious lightsaber crafting skills.

This amazing lightsaber took Lewis over two-and-a-half years to complete. It was 1.5 years of planning and 1 year of actual production. It contains a power crystal that controls light and sound which is appropriate since real Jedi weapons all work from a crystal.
The blade itself is removable so that the hilt can be shown in both modes. There are 84 LED lights that illuminate the blade evenly from top to bottom, which is a nice touch. Not everyone can build a replica like this. Lewis did a great job.
