Autodesk 123D Creature App Brings Online 3D Printing To The iPad (video)

Autodesk and Sculpteo have launched a new iPad application called Autodesk 123D Creature which they have designed to make it possible to create and print 3D monsters and characters directly from your Apple iPad tablet.

The new Autodesk 123D Creature App allows you to build characters with limbs using a digital clay, that can be posed, scaled and re-positioned to form your creatures shape. Watch the video after the jump to see it in action and learn more about the Autodesk 123D Creature App.

Once you have created the shape of your creature in the Autodesk 123D Creature App you can then add surface details using the built in sculpting tools, finally adding colours with the airbrush.

“Bring your 3D creature into the render room to generate amazing images to share with your friends. Use the in-app printing service to order a 3D print of your creature, or export your 3D model complete with textures.”

The new Autodesk 123D Creature App is now available to download from the iTunes App Store for £1.49 or $1.99 for a limited time, after which it will jump back to $7.99.
