Tele Scouter Translator

NEC has developed a new device that will automatically translate spoken word and then display the translation in your own native language on to a tiny retinal display in front of your eye.

NEC expect  to begin shipping in 2010 but its not going to be cheap. NEC are  estimating it will cost around 750 million yen ($8.16m) for  thirty members of staff… ouch.

648 Mega Pixel Milky Way Image

A Central Michigan University professor and Physicist Axel Mellinger has  spent nearly two years traveling  the world. Crossing South Africa, Texas and Michigan in a 26,000 miles world tour to obtain  individual photos to compile this massive 648 Mega Pixel image of the Milky Way as seen from Earth using the  3,000 individual photographs he collected in his travels.

Intel SATA SSD Firmware Update Tool

Intels  enterprise-grade reange of solid state hard disk drives as received an important firmware upgrade which now adds  support for the “Trim” feature on Windows 7. Trim as well as increasing the speed of data transfer will also cut down on the amount of data to be deleted, increasing the SSD’s lifespan and allowing it to delete garbage data in advance. It also uses ATA commands to increase the SSD write speeds.

Tetris Chair

This one of a kind Tetris inspired retro arm  chair would definitely add a little colour to your office space. The quirky design was the idea of  Mexican industrial designer Gabriel. Who constructed it from fibreglass, and b the look s of it made a very good job. It will also make it very strong. I  originally though it had been made from material blocks.
