iKat Augmented Reality App

Here is an interesting application from South Korean company Zentium called the iKat. The iKat is an augmented reality application that works without a marker, you just point you phone at any environment and the iKat is displayed in the environment on your phone.

Check out the video of it in action below to see how it works, it certainly looks very cool, and would have a number of possibilities to be developed further.

Google [GOOG] has updated its Google Maps service to including cycling routes and also directions for cyclists in the US. You can now get directions and access information on dedicated cycling routes.

The cycling directions service works exactly like the Google Maps route planner for walking or traveling by car, and it also has a built in feature so you can plan the safest route avoiding all the traffic.

Microsoft [MSFT] has shown the guys over at Engadget some screenshots of 3D games on the new Windows Phone 7 platform, and from the looks of the photos the games look pretty impressive.

50 ARM Based Tablets Coming This Year?

Samsung Launches E6 eReader

Samsung has announced the launch of their first electronic book reader. The Samsung E6 eReader will feature a six inch e-ink display with a resolution of 600 x 800 pixels.
