The ASUS PadFone Infinity was announced earlier in the year at Mobile World Congress 2013. As you might expect, it is an upgraded version of PadFone 2. The company hasn’t officially released it in the U.S. According to recently reported benchmarks of an unreleased ASUS PadFone Infinity A86, there is the possibility of a Snapdragon 800 powered model.
The delay stateside is likely because they want to launch the Snapdragon 800 version. In the above image you can see that it looks identical to the current version, except that it also comes in white.
The A86 is apparently compatible with the current PadFone Infinity’s base. There are also rumors of a microSD slot to expand memory. ASUS hasn’t revealed a date for release yet. We will likely hear of an announcement at IFA 2013. Hopefully we will learn more in about a week.
