Apple is expected to make iOS 9 official at their Worldwide Developer conference next month and we are starting to hear more details about the next generation mobile OS from Apple.
According to a recent report from Mark Gurman of 9 to 5 Mac, Apple has a new iOS initiative which is called ‘Proactive’ internally that will bring a Google Now like experience to iOS 9.
The new ‘Proactive’ feature in iOS 9 will uses Siri, Passbook, contacts and the calendar, plus a range of third party apps to create a competitor for Google Now. The Proactive feature will apparently provide information which is based on user data, although it will also keep the individuals privacy preferences in mind.
Apple is expected to announce this new Proactive feature when it launches iOS 9 at WWDC 2015 next month, the software is expected to come with a range of other major new features, although we may not see all of these until the OS launches with the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus later in the year.
