One USB Port... No User-replaceable battery... No Wired Ethernet... But it fits in a manilla envelope! I mean that could come in handy. Don't you always have envelopes you wish you could put your notebook on?Let me tell you, I have an ASUS G2S Gaming notebook... A little flashy (it has red cold cathodes that flash when you run directx10 :O). It is a bit over the top. Its been top of the line for the past 6 months... 2.20ghz T7500 Centrino Duo, 2GB DDR-667, 17" Glossy WXGA, fire wire, MMC/SD slot, express slot, DVD-RW drive with LightScribe, 6 (count em) USB ports, and a 160GB SATA 5200RPM Hard Drive. It comes from the manufacturer with a Logitech GX518 Mouse (custom made with ASUS logo on it). It also came with a free backpack. Now, I acknowledge the fact that mine is a gaming laptop, and the macbook air is an alleged UMPC (okay its ultra light). The ASUS is a 9.6 lb beast, made as a desktop replacement. But still, I bought it for $1800, and the price has since dropped.Apple wants $1700 for the base model, and $3100 for the 64GB model.Seriously, WTF? This is a rip off. I understand it is built to be light, but you can make a laptop smaller and lighter without the high price. When other manufacturers make an ultra portable product that has less features then the average notebook, its cheaper. The ASUS Eee PC. Its a 6" laptop that can probably fit in a manilla envelope as well. Except is has all the features of the macbook air, but the base model costs $299.No thanks. I'll stick to real laptops with real computing capability. I'm not in it for the flashy looks.

No CD-ROM… One USB Port… No User-replaceable battery… No Wired Ethernet… But it fits in a manilla envelope!
