Apple iPad mini to allegedly launch in October

Interested in that Apple iPad mini that you’ve been hearing about? Well, AllThingsD is reporting that Apple will announce the iPad mini in October, according to not just one, but several of their sources. So you won’t have long to wait.

They are saying that the launch event will take place just a month after the iPhone event, which is supposed to happen on September 12, though it should be noted that Apple has yet to confirm this. Most originally thought that the iPhone and the iPad mini events would take place simultaneously, but realistically that was pretty unlikely considering Apple has always kept the two product events separate.

Apple may not be willing to merge the iPad iPhone events, but they also won’t make us wait until next year’s main iPad event to release the smaller version, which is good news.
