Apple App Store Hits 650,000 Apps

Apple has released some more information on its App Store during its recent quarterly earnings call, there are now more than 650,000 applications available to download fro the App Store.

Apple also announced that out the the 650,000 apps, 250,000 of those apps have been specifically developed for their iPad, this is an increase of around 50,000 apps since April.

We also got some information on how much Apple has paid out to developers, back in April we were told that Apple had paid a total of $4 billion to developers, and now they have announced that they have paid their developers a total of $5.5 billion US dollars.
