Amazon Prime Launches $7.99 Monthly Subscription Plan

This month Amazon has started testing a new monthly subscription to its Prime members service, as an alternative to the $79 a year cost. The new monthly subscription of just $7.99 now makes Amazon more competitive to the likes of Netflix and Hulu who also offer monthly subscriptions.

However the new monthly subscription plan does cost an additional $16.88 when compared to paying up front for a full year of the Prime service.
