Acer is known for their computers. Tablets, not so much. The company has already attempted a phablet with the Liquid S1 and rumors have suggested that a Liquid S2 could be on its way. It’s no surprise then that recent benchmark sightings might have “confirmed” some of its specs.
According to the benchmark, the Acer Liquid S2 device will feature a 6” 1920×1080 Full HD IPS display. It might also be powered by a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset. There is also 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, a 13MP camera, NFC connectivity, and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
We aren’t sure what the Jelly Bean thing is about. A leaked roadmap suggested Android Key Lime Pie. Then again, it could probably be upgraded before it is released. We don’t know when Acer will launch the Liquid S2, but it might happen later this year, which would be around the holiday season. That makes sense.
