Mass Effect 3 was always going to do well. Commander Shepard’s saga has grown from a flawed RPG curio to a sleek cover shooter powerhouse in the space of two games. And the third entry in the series seems set to take the franchise even further, as 3.5 million copies have made their way to retailers and, very soon, players.
“We have been truly humbled by the amazing response from fans and critics for Mass Effect 3,” according to BioWare co-founder Dr. Ray Muzyka. “The game is a gripping, engaging experience where the decisions and choices you make will truly stay with you for the months and years ahead. We are all incredibly proud of Casey Hudson and the teams in Edmonton and Montreal for delivering the best game BioWare has ever made.”
