The device is a feature phone focused on messaging with a QWERTY slide out keyboard and picture, video, and voice messaging. The device has apps for Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter.

Verizon LTE to Launch in November and LTE Handsets this Year?n

Back in March, the scuttlebutt was that Verizon would be launching LTE handsets next summer in preparation for LTE networks expected in early 2011. BGR reports that a tip has come in claiming that Verizon is set to launch LTE much earlier than anticipated.

According to the rumor, Verizon will launch LTE networks in 25 markets on November 15. Handsets to take advantage of the LTE speed will be rolled out on November 26, otherwise known as Black Friday.

Verizon iPhone Could Add 12 Million More iPhone Users

We have been hearing rumors for quite some time that Apple [AAPL]would be bringing the iPhone to the Verizon Wireless network, and have even heard rumors this week that it may be coming in January, although I think we can take that rumor with a pinch of salt.

According to analyst Yair Reiner from Oppenheimer, a Verizon iPhone could have a serious impact on both Apple and Google, as he estimates that around 12 million Verizon users would switch to an iPhone.

NASA Asks Three High School Students For Help

This story could be straight out of a Hollywood blockbuster movie. Three Massachusetts high school science students were recently asked by their teacher to imagine a spacecraft was hurtling to earth and they needed to record this event from another aircraft.

The students put the minds together and came up with a solution. Then to their amazement the teacher revealed he was actually from NASA. The imaginary event was actually going to happen, with a  Hayabusa, an unmanned spacecraft launched by Japan, that was returning to Earth and NASA wanted to get the event on film.

Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro Headed To Vodafone UK

UK mobile phone operator Vodafone has announced that it will shortly be selling the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro, although they haven’t as yet given an exact launch date it is just listed as ‘Coming soon’.

The X10 Mini Pro features a 1.55 inch QVGA touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, and a slide out QWERTY keyboard, and it comes with Android 1.6, although it should be upgraded to Android 2.1 shortly.
