Samsung launches the ultra light X360 Notebook

Samsung has launched a new notebook the X360, which is actually lighter than the MacBook Air, weighing in at 1.27kg.

The Samsung X380 features a 13.3 inch WXGA LED screen with a maximum resolution of 1280 x 800, and is powered by and Intel Centrino 2 ULV processor.

Memory comes in the form of DDR3, from 1GB to 4GB, and for storage there is a choice of either a 64GB/128GB SSD or a 120GB 5400rpm S-ATA.

There is also 3 USB ports, 1 HMDI port, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFI a/b/g/n, a 1.3 megapixel web camera and a 7-in1- card reader.

The Coolest Gadgets we missed this week – 30th August 2008

There have been lots of cool new gadgets this week, unfortunately I haven’t been able to cover every single one of them, so here is a roundup of the coolest ones we missed this week.

Some of the cool ones include the Touchscreen Cellphone with a built in projector, it looks like it has been cloned from the iPhone with a very similar interface, and the homemade pong watch is really cool.

Also check out the Stormtrooper Mini Snow globes, and the Wii Balance Board Mod that lets your surf around in Google Street View.

Plus my personal favourite gadget that we missed this week, the “Reading Lamp”, which looks like it is actually reading a book.

Here’s a cool spy gadget for all the James Bond fans out there, the Spy Camera Glasses.

This cool spy gadget features a built in 1.3 megapixel camera, capable of snapping spy shots at a resolution of 1280 x 1024.

Photos are taken by pressing the RF remote which you can hide discreetly in your pocket so no one will know when you are taking photos.

These cool spy glasses also have built in headphones and an mp3 player so you can listen to your favourite tunes whilst taking photos.

Check out this Amazing full size drivable Star Wars X-34 Landspeeder Replica, made by Daniel Deutsch.

This cool X-34 Landspeeder Replica was made from a custom aluminium chassis, and fibreglass.

It is powered by an electric drive system and can reach speeds of up to 25 mph. It is exactly the same size as the original X-34 Landspeeder that was used in the Star Wars films.

The Wii PC Mod features an Intel Celeron Processor, 512MB of RAM and a 40GB HDD, there is also 3 USB ports, DVI and it runs Windows XP.

Sony has launched the World’s thinnest LCD TV, the KDL-40ZX1.

The KDL-40ZX1 measures just 9.9mm thick, and has LED Backlighting, a contrast ratio of 3,000: 1 , 120hz MotionFlow for improved image quality in fast-moving sequences and Bravia Engine 2, it also has a viewing angle of 178 degrees.
