Asus Eee PC 900 will get Intel’s Atom processor by June

The other day Asus announced the launch of the new 8.9 inch Asus Eee PC 900, with a delivery date in the UK of May.

Asus Eee PC 900

They have now confirmed that they will ship the Asus PC 900 with Intel’s new Atom processor in June in the UK.

According to Asus the Atom processor will give the Asus Eee PC 900 a much better battery life. I was going to get myself one of the new 900’s when they go on sale, but I think I will wait till June now and get the version with the new Atom processor.

I wonder if they will sell many of the Asus PC 900 in May, I suspect the majority of people will wait till June to get the version with the Atom processor.

Asus obviously wanted to get the 900 out as soon as possible, as there are competitors bringing similar products out in June, so no doubt they wanted to beat them to it, this is probably why they are launching the 900 in May with the existing processor which is used in the Asus Eee PC 701.
